HoR meeting adjourned once again

The meeting of the House of Representatives has been adjourned again after the main opposition CPN- UML obstructed the meeting on Monday.

This comes after the UML’s demand to form a high-level probe committee to investigate into the 100 kg gold scam was not agreed upon by the government.

Earlier, the UML had agreed to end the House impasse on Tuesday. But not satisfied by the Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha’s response to the party, the UML decided to continue to obstruct the house proceedings. The Parliament sessions have been postponed for the past two weeks due to the UML’s obstruction.
