Foreign Minister of Nepal NP Saud and India’s Minister for External Affairs S Jaishankar met in the sideline of BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) meeting in Bangkok, Thailand on Monday.
Both the leaders have said the sideline meeting that had taken place on the occasion of the two-day meeting of the BIMSTEC foreign ministers held in Bangkok were fruitful.
Indian Minister for External Affairs Jaishankar termed the meeting as fruitful, according to the secretariat of Foreign Minister Saud. “Good meeting with Nepal Foreign Minister Narayan Prakash Saud. Agreed to work closely to implement the agenda of cooperation set out by our leaderships. Looking forward to remaining in touch,” Jaishankar twitted. “He said after the meeting that he is ready to work with Nepal for mutual interest by establishing continuous contact,” according to a statement issued by the Foreign Minister’s secretariat.
