Ministry of Home Affairs organized a morning rally on Monday to observe the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The rally was organized with a view to generating awareness against drug abuse and illicit trafficking in Kathmandu.
The rally started from Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu and passed through Bhandrakali temple before converging into a corner meeting at City Hall. Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Home Secretary Dinesh Bhattarai, Inspector General of Police, Basanta Bahadur Kunwar, high-ranking officials of the Ministry, youths and students were present on the occasion.
The participants in the morning rally had carried banners, and ply cards inscribed with different awareness messages against drug abuse and its illicit trafficking.
