Nepal’s ‘Top Ten’ companies doing a lot of business 

Jagdamba Steel Ltd. is ranked number one in the list of most traded companies in Nepal. The company has become number one with its trading amount touching almost 50 billion rupees. Jagdamba Steel has a turnover of 49 billion 66 million 34 lakhs in the financial year 2078-79. Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd has become the second largest company with a huge turnover. It can be seen from the details that the company had a business of  Rs. 47 billion 40 million rupees in the financial year 2078-79. Surya Nepali filed tax  amounting to Rs. 10 billion 72 million in this financial year and became the highest tax paying company. The company has made a profit of 20 billion rupees from last year’s business.

Nepal Telecommunications Company Limited (Nepal Telecom) has secured third position in the list of large companies doing lots of business. This company’s business transaction has reached Rs. 44 billion 93.29 million in the last financial year. Its a public private partnership with shares owned by both the government and the people. Nepal Telecom has been providing telephone service and internet service throughout the country for decades. Ncell Ajita Limited is the fourth largest company. This company has a business amounting to Rs. 40 billion 28.94 million rupees in the financial year 2078-79. Likewise, Sipradi Trading Pvt Ltd is the fifth largest company with many transactions. In the last financial year 78-79 this company has done business of Rs. 29.07 billion. Sipradi, which is the official dealer of the Indian car manufacturer Tata in Nepal, has been able to boost the sales of the electric vehicle Tata Nexon EV, resulting in increased business transaction. Bhatbhateni Supermarket Departmental Store is ranked sixth among large companies that do a lot of transaction. The transaction of this company has reached Rs. 26 billion 88.68 million. This company, which has expanded branches in many places, has been selling domestic and foreign goods to consumers. The seventh largest company with many transactions also has a car sales company. Shekhar Golchha’s Hansraj Hulaschand & Company, who is also the president of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has been selling Indian brand two-wheelers. This company, which has been selling Bajaj brand motorcycles, has sold vehicles amounting to Rs. 22 billion 33.89 million in the last financial year. This company has been selling motorcycles of Bajaj brand Pulsar, NS, Avenger, Discover and other models.

Similarly, MW Enterprises Pvt Ltd secured the eighth position in the list of big companies doing a lot of business. The company has been ranked second among two-wheeler sales companies with a turnover of Rs.17 billion 51.51 million in the last financial year. This company sells Yamaha brand motorcycles and scooters. Likewise, Hongshi Shivam Cement Pvt Ltd is the ninth most traded company. This company, which has Chinese main investment, has become the largest cement selling company with a turnover of 17 billion 30 million rupees in the last financial year. OBC Foods and Feeds Pvt Ltd has been ranked 10th among the companies doing a lot of business in the last financial year. It can be seen from the details that this company had a business of Rs. 16 billion 74 million in the last financial year. This company has been producing and selling materials required for rearing broiler chickens.
