The Nepali National Cricket Team has achieved the biggest victory in the ODI match so far. Nepal won by 177 runs against United Arab Emirates (UAE) in ICC Men’s World Cup Cricket League-2 at TU ground on Sunday. This victory is the biggest margin of victory in Nepal’s (One Day International) ODI history. Earlier, Nepal defeated Papua New Guinea (PNG) by 151 runs in 2021.
In the 137th match under World Cup League-2, Nepal was bowled out for 248 runs in 49.2 overs. Chasing a target of 249 runs, UAE was reduced to 71 runs after losing all wickets in 22.5 overs. The performance against Nepal is the worst innings in UAE’s ODI history. Nepal’s spinner Lalit Rajwanshi took five wickets with sharp bowling against UAE. Lalit, who bowled only 7.5 overs, spent 20 runs with two maidens. Nepal’s ex-captain Sandeep Lamichhane, took two wickets. Sompal Kami, Dipendra Singh Airi and Gulsan Jha took one wicket.
