US Under Secretary for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland has arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday on a two day official visit. A U.S. diplomat for 33 years Under Secretary Nuland has held a number of high level positions under President Biden, Obama and Bush.
She held meetings with high officials of Nepal including Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal “Prachanda” and Foreign Minister Bimala Rai Poudyal during the visit., Foreign Ministry sources here said. “She is meeting government officials to highlight our strong bilateral relationship and
experience Nepal’s unique cutural heritage that we have been proud to support,” US embassy states in its facebook page. She engaged herself in hectic political consultations in Kathmandu on Monday meeting high government officials and other political leaders, interacted with media at Patan Durbar Square, a famous cultural heritage of Nepal, before leaving Kathmandu wrapping up the visit.
