Four policemen killed in jeep mishap

Four police personnel died when a jeep carrying them met with an accident at Ningladi stream of Patan Municipality along the Dasharath Chand Highway in Baitadi district Monday morning.

The jeep was carrying the police personnel returned to duty stations after handing over the ballot boxes to the district headquarters, according to the police. Three policemen died on the spot, while another one succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment, according, the police said. Eight other policemen were injured, two seriously, during the incident. The jeep fell some 200 meters down the hilly road.
