Dr Ruit and Gyawali felicitated

A citizens’ group has felicitated and honoured director of Tilganga Eye Hospital and senior ophthalmologist Dr. Sanduk Ruit and motivational speaker Sudhan Gyawali.

National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina congratulated them at the felicitation program organized by the group on ‘Todays Vision, Prosperity with Self-respect’. Born in Olangchung Gola, a village in Nepal that shares borders with China in the eastern hilly district of Taplejung, Dr Ruit was awarded the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 2006. Known as the initiator of the world-renowned low-cost cataract treatment method ‘Ruitectomy’, Dr Ruit has single-handedly performed over a hundred thousand cataract surgeries.

Similarly, Gyawali, who is working in the World Health Organization, has previously served in the media such as Radio Nepal, Nepal Television for a long time. Recently, Gyawali, famous as a motivational speaker, has also conducted a program on positive thinking from the YouTube channel of ShikharNews.com, Shikhar News TV.
