COVID : 888 new cases, one death reported on Monday

With 888 new cases (RT-PCR and antigen tests combined) of COVID-19 were detected on Monday, the nation’s novel coronavirus tally has reached 993,459.

While conducting 3,155 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests in the past 24 hours, a total of 427 people were found infected with SARS-CoV-2, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. Likewise, the virus infection was detected in 461 people in 2,582 antigen tests performed in the last 24 hours.

At present, there are 5,387 active cases of COVID-19 across the country of which, 199 are admitted to institutional isolation while 5,188 patients are placed in home isolation. Out of which 64 are in ICU and three are on ventilator support.  

Meanwhile, 474 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in institutional isolation or in home isolation recovered from the infection in the past 24 hours.
