An earthquake measuring 4.7 in Richter scale hit Sindhupalchowk district, Monday morning. The epicenter of the earthquake was Helambu in Sindhupalchowk district, 100 east of Kathmandu.
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre, the earthquake of 4.7 magnitude in the Richter scale had occurred at 6.07 am Monday morning. The earthquake was felt in and around Kathmandu valley. However, no immediate damage was reported in the incident. The earthquake was an aftershock of the Gorkha Earthquake of 2015, according to the centre.
