The eighth edition of Furniture and Furnishing Expo 2022 is being organized at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu in September. The expo could not take place for the past two years due to the corona pandemic. The expo is slated to kick off on September 8 and conclude on September 12, according to a press release issued by Nepal Furniture and Furnishing Association, the organizer of the expo.
The expo is expected to help the furniture business which is gradually recovering as the pandemic slows down. The furniture business, which was badly hit by pandemic has started recovering gradually, according to president of the association Shubhendra Joshi. The expo will provide appropriate platform for entrepreneurs and the consumers, he pointed out. The expo will also help in boosting economic activities in the country, he added. There will be around 120 stalls during the five day long expo. Kitchen and bathroom equipment, indoor and outdoor furniture, carpets, marble and interior design items will be showcased during the expo.
Companies from Nepal, Bangladesh, India and Pakistan will showcase their products during the expo, whose main sponsor will be Prestige Carpet.
