Nepal Tourism Board Monday organized an interaction programme with newly appointed ambassadors to different countries. Speaking on the occasion Minister for Tourism Jeevan Ram Shrestha said, Nepalese embassies abroad and envoys can play an important role in promoting Nepal’s tourism. As the Nepalese diplomatic missions abroad are the official representative bodies of Nepal, the embassies should spread positive message about Nepal, he pointed out.
On the occasion, Nepalese ambassador to Japan Durga Bahadur Subedi, Nepalese ambassador to Spain Sharmila Parajuli Dhakal, Nepalese ambassador to Egypt Shushil Lamsal, and Nepalese ambassador to Myanmar Harishchandra Ghimire, Nepalese ambassador to Austria Bharat Raj Regmi and Nepalese ambassador to Africa were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion president of TAAN (Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal) Khum Bahadur Subedi said as Nepal is a prime destination for international visitor, it has the potential to welcome 2.5 million tourists in a year.
