Security personnel shots dead himself in Indian Embassy

A security personnel on duty at the Indian Embassy at Lainchaur, in Kathmandu shot himself dead in an apparent bid of suicide on Monday morning. Indian embassy sources here confirmed the news without giving any detail.

According to embassy sources the deceased has been identified as security guard Deepak Singh, 32. He allegedly shot himself with his own rifle at around 9 am within the embassy premises.

The body has been sent to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, for post-mortem, according to the police. The reason behind the suicide is now yet known.
