CPN-UML Lawmaker Bhim Bahadur Rawal has accused the Sher Bahadur Deuba government of observing silence despite the construction of embankment unilaterally by India at Bangabagar of Darchula district at the Indian side. It is very shameful for the country that Nepal government was silent over India’s construction of embankment at the Bangabagar of Darchula district, Rawal said while speaking in the House of Representatives on Sunday. Rawal was speaking in the Parliament despite obstruction created by the CPN-UML shouting slogans against Speaker ok the House Agni Prasad Sapkota.

Speaking in the parliament meeting Sunday, Rawal sought an answer from the government for remaining silent on the issue.

“It is shameful that our government has remained silent over the construction work started by India a few days ago. The government needs to be deeply focused on the issue. The Minister for Home Affairs and the Minister for Foreign Affairs should come to this House and furnish an answer to the Nepali people regarding the matter,” he said.
