Thirty-two schools in Lamjung have been selected for the Presidential School Improvement Programme. Eight schools of Rainas Municipalities, six of Bensishahar and five Sunderbazar have been selected for the purpose.
Similarly, five schools in Dordi, four in Central Nepal, three in Marsyangdi and one in Dudhpokhari Village municipality have also been selected. According to the Education and Human Resource Development Center, classrooms will be constructed in 14 selected schools soon. Similarly, 17 schools was selected for the promotion of new technology in education and one school was selected for the laboratory. Eight schools will have four-room buildings and nine schools will have two-room buildings.
Sixteen schools in the district were selected under the same programme last year. Selected schools will get Rs. 650,000 to Rs. 3.6 million grants.
