The Janakpur-Jayanagar railway service will be inaugurated by Prime Ministers of Nepal and India jointly.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the railway service through virtual means.
According to Niranjan Jha, general manager of Nepal Railway Company, discussions are underway between the diplomats of the two countries to jointly inaugurate the regular operation of the train service by Prime Minister Deuba and his Indian counterpart Modi. The Kurtha-Janakpur-Jayanagar train service has started on Sunday as a technical test. The inauguration date will be fixed in a few days. The inauguration will tentative latke place towards the end of the second week of February.
