UML boycotts all party meeting

An all-party meeting called by Speaker Agni Sapkota has concluded at Singha Durbar secretariat. After the ruling coalition filed an impeachment motion against Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana, Speaker Sapkota summoned the all-party meeting to discuss the matter.

Leaders including Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal and Janata Samajwadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav took part in the meeting. Representatives from other smaller parties also attended the meeting. However, main opposition CPN-UML boycotted the meeting.
