482 new cases, 2,319 recoveries in 24 hours

As many as 2,319 people recovered from COVID-19 on Monday, according to the latest data provided by the Ministry of Health and Population. Similarly, Nepal reported 747 new cases of COVID-19 with 8 deaths from the deadly virus in the past 24 hours. So far, 11,900 people have died from the virus across the country.

As many as 8,696 samples were tested for COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 482 PCR and 265 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus. There are currently 20,951 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 19,930 are in home isolation, 809 in institutional isolation, 178 in ICU’s and 34 on ventilators. Similarly, 113 are currently in quarantine facilities.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 226 cases of COVID-19 on Monday. Of them, 181 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 15 in Bhaktapur and 30 in Lalitpur districts.
