Govt. to provide Rs. 10,000 to destitute families

The government has decided to provide Rs 10,000 each to destitute families across the country as a relief package since a large number of people have been left unemployed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Issuing a notice the Ministry of Finance on Thursday urged eligible people to submit applications to receive the relief at the local administration offices. According to the ministry, the government is planning to provide financial relief to more than 500,000 families across the country. The government has given top priority to wage labourers, the poor and others who lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Besides, those who lost their family members, who were the key source of income, and have been facing financial crisis can also claim the relief.
