President Ramchandra Paudel has advised the government to entirely focus on holding the forthcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5, 2026.
Receiving the annual report of the National Security Council of the fiscal year 2024/25 at the Office of the President on Sunday, the President urged the government to discharge its responsibility without causing any impact on the upcoming general election, said sources at the President’s office.
Prime Minister and Chair of National Security Council Sushila Karki on Sunday submitted the report of the NSC to the President. On the occasion, the President directed the security agencies including the Nepali Army to pay full attention on security issues being more prompt than before. Similarly, President Paudel expressed confidence that the National Security Council will perform its functions effectively in coming days by analyzing the potential security threats in the days to come.
