
The Alternative Energy Promotion Center is organizing an ‘International Clean Energy’ conference on the occasion of International Clean Energy Day. A conference is being organized from January 27 to 29 in Kathmandu to mark the occasion. Accordingly, on the eve of the conference, an interaction program was organized at the AEPC with journalists with the aim of providing information about the National Conference on “National Forum on Clean Energy in Action: Decarbonizing Nepal’s Economy”. At this event, Nawaraj Dhakal, Executive Director of the Alternative Energy Promotion Center, shed light on the objectives and importance of the program.
He highlighted the identification of sectoral needs, opportunities and challenges, prioritization of investable projects, and investment potential and resource mobilization opportunities for clean energy transformation. He said that the main goal of the conference is to exchange experiences on successful projects and initiatives in the field, in the context of current development partnerships and future investment choices related to Nepal’s energy transformation and climate change.
Similarly, in the inaugural session of the program to be organized tomorrow, Magh 14, under the chief guestship of Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Anil Kumar Sinha, It includes presentations on clean energy transformation for a resilient and low-carbon economy, as well as comments from representatives from the Government of Nepal, development partners, and the private sector.
