Advisory issued to Nepalese residing in Israel and Iran

Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has issued an advisory to Nepali nationals residing in Israel and Iran to take precautionary measures.

In a press release issued on Saturday MoFA stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nepal, is closely monitoring the evolving situation in the Middle East. In this context, Nepali nationals currently residing in Israel and Iran are advised to remain indoors and stay vigilant, exercise caution and maintain regular contact with the Nepalese community in the nearby locations.

“Strictly adhere to the security advisories and instructions issued by the competent authorities of Israel and Iran,” reads the advisory. The Nepalese nationals are urged to refrain from traveling without prior authorization from the concerned authorities of Israel and Iran. They are also advised to maintain regular communication with the Foreign Ministry in Kathmandu, the Embassy of Nepal in Tel Aviv, and the Embassy of Nepal in Doha, “Nepali nationals planning to travel to Israel or Iran are strongly advised to defer their travel plans until the situation in both countries stabilizes,” reads the advisory. “Nepali nationals residing and working in other Middle Eastern countries are advised to constantly monitor developments and follow precautionary measures as suggested by the competent authorities of the respective countries” the advisory says.

Meanwhile, issuing a separate travel advisory Nepalese Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Nepalese nationals residing in the United Ara Emirates are advised to avoid unnecessary travel and follow security guidelines. In view of the evolving situation in the Middle East, all Nepalese nationals residing in the UAE are urged to avoid unnecessary travel, exercise caution and follow the security guidelines issued by the UAE government and embassy of Nepal,” reads the advisory. “In case of emergency information advise and assistance, contact the Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi and Consulate General in Dubai,” adds the advisory.
