Hearing on the writ petition filed at the Supreme Court against the decision of the Office of the Attorney General to withdraw the organized crime and money laundering cases against Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane will continue on Tuesday.

Hearing was postponed for Tuesday after it was not held Monday. The court spokesperson Ajun Prasad Koirala informed that the hearing was postponed to Tuesday after the division bench of Justices Binod Sharma and Abdul Aziz Musalman did not hold the hearing on Monday.

Earlier, a joint bench of Supreme Court Justices Sapana Pradhan Malla and Shrikant Poudel had ordered the petition to be listed for regular hearing.

Attorney General Sabita Baral had decided to withdraw the money laundering and organized crime cases filed against Lamichhane sparking controversy.

Advocates Yubaraj Poudel, Dinesh Tripathi and Abhas Regmi had filed separate writ petitions in the apex court challenging the decision.
