24th Golden Jubilee Scholarship Day observed

The Embassy of India in Kathmandu celebrated the 24th Golden Jubilee Scholarship Day on Friday, March 24, 2026 in the presence of Vice Chancellors and senior office beaters of leading universities and schools of Nepal.

On the occasion Ambassador of India to Nepal Naveen Srivastava presented the Roll of Honour to outstanding Golden Jubilee scholars who have excelled in diverse fields, including medicine and engineering, according a press release issued by Indian Embassy on Saturday. The event was attended by around 200 students who have been selected for the Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2025-26. He also encouraged students and educational institutions to make the most of the opportunities arising from stronger India- Nepal collaboration for innovation and growth.

India annually offers around 1,500 scholarships to Nepali students across a wide range o disciplines including engineering, medicine, ayurveda, nursing, yoga etc. The event featured a captivating cultural performances by teachers and artists of the Swami Vivekananda Culture Centre
