Two Indian teen-agers swimming in a river in Palpa district have gone missing on Sunday. Faran Ansari, 17 and Aman Ansari, both from Santabir Nagar, India have gone missing while they were swimming in Tinau river, Government run daily Gorkhapatra reported quoting Palpa District Police sources.
Seven Indian youths have reached Tinau River in Tansen Municipality of Palpa district and entered Tinau river near Damside. Two of them were swept away by the river, said Hom Prakash Chaudhari, information officer at the district police office.
Search operation was launched to locate the missing swimmers but no one was found till Sunday evening. The river is famous for swimmers from Nepal and India and many people came here for recreation. Such an accident is a frequent phenomena in the river, according to the locals.
