Restriction order re-imposed in Kapilvastu

The District Administration Office, Kapilvastu on Sunday re-impose restriction order in parts of Maharajgunj Municipality on Sunday too as the situation remained tense. The restriction order was imposed on Saturday after 20 people including security personnel got injured in a scuffle between two community groups at Bagarda in Maharajgunj. The restriction order will be in place until further notice, the DAO said.

According to Janardan Gautam, Chief District Officer of Kapilvastu the restriction order has been enforced as per the decision of the district security committee. The order restricts people from making a gathering, public meeting, rallies and demonstrations in different parts of the municipality.

Meanwhile, a meeting of representatives from different groups, political parties and civil society held at the initiative of District Administration Office, Kapilvastu on Sunday decided to help maintain calm and peaceful situation and bring about communal harmony in the district.
