Newly-appointed Minister for Energy and Urban Development, Kulman Ghising said that preparations would be expedited in a way to paint the structures having deserted looks after arson and vandalism before Dashain.
In an address after taking the charge of the ministry, Ghising said the structures will be painted for the immediate purpose and most essential appliances, including furniture will be managed later. He further said the special fund will be instituted to advance reconstruction works and the Nepali people living in the country and abroad will be urged for fund raising.
‘It is imperative to rebuild the structures that were damaged by the fire during the Gen Z movement last week, and managing financial resources to that end is currently the main challenge’, he added. The Minister said, ‘We will also appeal to various supporters to convey the message that we can build the structures on our own’.

Minister Ghising noted that everyone must work towards solutions while eliminating corruption and establishing good governance, as well as maintaining law and order in the country. He said that the government will make a plan within a week to move forward with the immediate reconstruction work.
