Gen Z broke wall of Parliament Building compound

The protest organisaed by Gen Z on Monday has been successful in raising the voice of youth with demand of corruption free system. The gathered Gen Z youth in Kathamndu and other cities including Butwal, Pokhara, Itahari marched on streets with placards and chanting slogans.

In Kathmandu, the crowd of Gen G broke down the wall and entered the parliament building. Some protesters broke down the wall and entered the building area.

They had pelted stones on the wall while entering the Parliament building. Earlier, security force had used water cannons, tear gas and rubber bullets over the crowd to stop crossing prohibited lines.

The Chief District Administration’s office has issued a curfew order after the protest in Gen Z got out of control. The curfew order effective from 12:30 noon on Monday until 10:00 pm.

Kathmandu Chief District Officer Chhabi Rijal informed that the administration has issued a curfew order to bring the situation under control as protesters broke into the restricted area and even entered the Parliament building.
