The 17th edition of the NADA Auto Show concluded on August 24, 2025. The six-day event was begun on August 19 at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. The automobile and accessories exhibition was organized by Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA).
On concluding the event, NADA President Karan Chaudhary said that the event marked as historic and concluded successfully. He added that more than 160,000 people visited the show.
This year, Deepal won the award for the best stall in the four-wheeler category, while Royal Enfield secured the title in the two-wheeler category.
This time the latest advancements in electric vehicles (EVs), sustainable mobility solutions, and cutting-edge automotive technologies. Visitors will be able to explore a diverse range of two-wheelers, four-wheelers, commercial vehicles, auto components, and financial services. With a dedicated EV Pavilion and participation from leading international and local brands, the event aims to promote eco-friendly transportation and innovation in Nepal’s automotive industry.
Thus, the event aims to bring together the country’s leading automobile brands, electric vehicle manufacturers, auto component suppliers, and service providers under one roof.
NADA Auto Show held every year serves as a comprehensive platform for product launches, brand showcases, test ride zones, and consumer interaction. The 2025 edition is expected to highlight the growing shift toward electric mobility, with expanded EV segments from both four-wheeler and two-wheeler manufacturers. Visitors can explore hundreds of stalls across multiple halls, experience vehicle demonstrations, engage with brand representatives, and receive exclusive offers on bookings. The show is also an ideal platform for business partnerships, media coverage, and product comparisons.

Besides showcasing automobile products for Nepal, the event will serve consumer awareness around emerging vehicle technologies, industry networking between dealers, distributors, and suppliers, EV adoption acceleration through test rides and first hand access, policy dialogue regarding infrastructure, taxation, and electric mobility.
NADA Auto show 2025 showcased a flying car as Deepal, a sub-brand of Changan Automobile, will unveil its electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. MAW Vriddhi Autocorp is the first company in Nepal to present a flying car to the public, creating a historic milestone for the country’s automotive and aviation sectors.
The flying car, designed for Urban Air Mobility (UAM), is the result of a strategic alliance between EHang and Changan Automobile, formed on December 21, 2024.
EHang EH216-S two passenger eVTOL multicopter production model aircraft

The EH216-S is a two passenger eVTOL multicopter production model aircraft made for advanced air mobility (AAM). The cruise speed of the aircraft is 100 km/h (62 mph), has a maximum speed of 130 km/h (81 mph) and has a maximum altitude of 3,000 m (9,843 ft). The range of the EHang 216 is 35 km (22 miles) and has a flight time of 21 minutes. The letter “S” is a common convention in the aviation and manufacturing industry denoting a production version of a product, indicating it has reached a stage of development suitable for manufacturing and commercial use.
The aircraft has 16 propellers, 16 electric motors and is powered by batteries. The battery recharging time is 120 minutes. The maximum payload of the aircraft is 220 kg (485 lb). The multicopter has a canopy over the cock and windows on doors providing excellent views for the passengers. The aircraft has gull-wing doors. The fuselage is made of carbon fiber composite for high strength to low weight ratio. The aircraft has fixed skid landing gear.
The EHang EH216-S is a revolutionary pilotless electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, now eyeing potential entry into Nepal through Changan Automobile Nepal, the official distributor of Deepal brand vehicles. Designed for short-distance urban air mobility, the EH216-S offers fully autonomous, zero-emission air travel with a top speed of 130 km/h and a standard range of 30 km, extendable up to 48 minutes of flight time with its latest solid-state battery upgrade. Powered by 16 electric motors, the aircraft features advanced fail-safe systems, real-time 4G/5G communication, and centralized monitoring via intelligent command-and-control centers, ensuring maximum safety, redundancy, and operational efficiency.
With a maximum takeoff weight of 620 kg, compact dimensions (1.93 m height and 5.73 m width), and eco-friendly operation, the EH216-S is ideal for dense cities like Kathmandu where traditional air travel infrastructure is limited. It requires no runway and can take off and land vertically from dedicated vertiports, making it a game-changer in solving traffic congestion through sustainable aerial mobility. The EH216-S is the world’s first certified pilotless passenger eVTOL, having received type, production, and airworthiness certifications from China’s CAAC. While official pricing for Nepal is yet to be announced, its global price is estimated at around NPR 57 crore, positioning it as a futuristic transport solution for tourism, emergency services, and urban commuting in Nepal.
