Humagain reappointed as chairman of Advertisement Board

The Government of Nepal has reappointed Laxman Humagain as the chairman of the Advertisement Board.

Humagain had completed a four-year term at the same leading designation, has been reappointed to the vacant position by the government.

The Advertisement Boardwas formed last year in accordance with the Advertisement (Regulation) Act 2019.The board aims to regulate, monitor and operate the entire advertisement market of the country.

Government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Shubba Gurung informed on Tuesday that the decision to appoint Humagain was taken at a cabinet meeting held on Monday.

Six persons had applied for the position of chairman. The list published earlier by the ministry mentioned that along with Humagain, Kavita Sharma, Sujan Raja Shrestha, Ashok Kumar Ghimire, Padam Raj Joshi and Anant Kant Mainali had applied. Humagai had completed the first tenure in April this year.
