India’s Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav on Friday called on Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli at the PM’s official residence at Baluwatar. Minister Yadav thanked Prime Minister Oli for inviting him to the dialogue expressing the view that global attention should be drawn towards protection of Mt. Everest as it is the roof of the world, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s secretariat.
On the occasion PM Oli proposed to organize a regional conference involving Nepal, India and Bangladesh to discuss issues relating to protection of the mountain and the impact of c carbon emission in the environment.
Oli also thanked the Indian minister for his participation in the meeting and addressing the programme.
