Over 12 million passengers use TIA in a year

More than 12 million passengers use the services from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) within a year.

In the year 2081 BS, a total of 12.94 million passengers traveled through TIA including both domestic and international flights, according to the official data released by TIA.

According to the TIA sources, the highest number of passengers was recorded in the month of Kartik (October-November). During this month period, 1.28 million passengers used the TIA’s services. Because of the tourist season and festivals, there were 3,281 international and 12,114 domestic flight movements in Kartik.

Overall, 4.93 million passengers traveled on international flights through 35,389 flight movements, while 5.36 million passengers used domestic flights, witnessing 112,708 flight movements.
