Indian national arrested with nearly 9 kg hemp

An Indian national has been arrested from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu on Sunday afternoon along with nearly 9 kg of hemp. The police arrested Sandeep K. Unni, 28, an Indian national from the Kathmandu airport on Sunday as he landed at the airport from Bangkok on board Thai Airways flight. He was carrying 8 kg 855 grams of the narcotic drugs in his bag while coming to Kathmandu by air.

He was arrested after the X-ray screening machine of the airport revealed that he had hidden the narcotic drug in his baggage. The police has handed him over to the Narcotic Drug Control Bureau.
