Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged the NGOs to adopt the path of self-reliance instead of depending on foreign grants. Inaugurating the 11th general convention and the National Civil Society Conference 2025 of the NGO Federation of Nepal in Kathmandu on Monday, PM Oli stressed the need to increase production and productivity by utilizing fertile Nepali land even though all the work could not be done alone at the time of situation of globalization.
He advised the social organizations to discuss not only failures but also hopes, successes and achievements, and made it clear that no obstacle would be created in the development efforts.
“We are not in a pitiable condition to have pictures of a foreigner when taking out a procession. We have no time to indulge in undemocratic, anti-system and unconstitutional things. We are on a journey to a prosperous Nepal with the idea of taking one step forward every day,” remarked PM Oli, referring to the Sunday’s programme of pro-monarchists.
