Narayan Khadka, member of Parliament, Nepal and Prasanna Srivastava, deputy chief of mission, Indian Embassy, Kathmandu jointly inaugurated the school building of Janata Belaka Secondary Schol, Udaupur built with government of India’s financial assistance on Sunday.
Government of India provided a grant assistance of NRs. 37.99 million for the construction of the school building as a high impact community development project. The grant assistance from government of India was utilized for the construction o the school building and other allied facilities, according to a press release issued by the Indian Embassy.
Established as a primary school in 2062 Janata Belaka Secondary School was later upgraded to secondary school in 1976. In the year 2006 it was further upgraded to a higher secondary school. This school has around 500 students and 55 percent of them are girls.
