Two killed 41 injured in school bus accident in Pharping

Two people were killed and forty one others sustained injuries when a school bus met with an accident at Pharping in Dakshinkali Municipality Sunday afternoon. Thirty five year old bus driver and an eight year old boy died when the bus belonging to Junkiri School fell off 150 metre down from the hilly road in Pharping, according to the police.

There were 41 students from play group up to class five, a teacher and a bus driver on the bus at the time of the accident. The actual reason of the accident is yet to be known. However, the police said that the bus driver lost control over the vehicle and its fell from the hilly road.

Eight students who sustained minor injuries have went home after receiving first aid treatment. However, the remaining 32 students and the teacher are undergoing treatment at Kirtipur Hospital, Bir Hospital Trauma Centre, Norvic Hospital, Vayodha Hospital and Mediciti Hospital. The students who were traveling in the bus were from age 3 to 12.
