Sudarshan Dahal has been elected unopposed as the President of Nepal Ex-Servicemen Association. The first convention of the Nepal Ex-Servicemen’s Association Bhaktapur concluded in Bhaktapur on Saturday. The convention has elected 17 member working committee including Dahal as the president, provincial general convention representatives and central general convention representatives unopposed.
The general convention also elected Navraj Shrestha and Rabindra Khadka as vice presidents, Suraj Khadka as the secretary, Pawan Basnet as joint secretary and Yagya Raj Bhatt as treasurer. Similarly, Manoj Budhathoki, Purna Bahadur Bhatta, Laxman Thapa, Makhan Singh Lama, Dine Khadka, Binod Sakh, Tirthaman Lama, Vijesh Karki, Rameshwar Sakh, Shyam Sundar Shrestha and Sonam Lama have been elected as central executive committee members.
Likewise, Makhansingh Lama, Laxman Thapa, Navraj Shrestha, Dinesh Khadka, Madhav Ban and Rajkumar Bata were elected as representatives of Bagmati Province Congress unopposed. Similarly, Gokarna Puri, Tirthaman Tamang, Pawan Khatri, Lakshman Bhutt Shrestha were elected as central convention representatives uncontested.
The convention was inaugurated by Nepali Congress Bhaktapur district president and member of the House of Representatives, Durlab Thapa. Bagmati Province Assembly member Suresh Shrestha, former Minister of Physical Infrastructure of Bagmati Province Krishna Lal Bhandel and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
