Moreover, the scheduled activities will cover the issues and measures for the desired promotion of clean energy in Nepal which contribute to climate actions, Nationally Determined Contributions, Sustainable Development Goals, Triple the renewable energy and double the energy efficiency, Nepal's commitment to attain Net Carbon Emission by the year 2045, newly introduced Energy Development Roadmap and Action Plan, 2081 of Nepal as well. So as clean energy promotion is strongly bonded to minimise consumption of fossil fuel and biomass energy which is to strengthen national economy as well.
Nawaraj Dhakal, executive director of AEPC, said that clean energy helps in the development of a sustainable and low carbon economy in Nepal. There will be various presentations to share experiences among stakeholders, interact about investment opportunities and formulate necessary strategies to speed up the transformation process.

It is expected that the conference will provide support for the effective implementation of the Energy Development Roadmap and Action Plan, 2081 and the Action Plan on Increasing Electricity Consumption and Minimizing Fossil Fuels, 2080 recently approved by the Government of Nepal. Moreover, The Energy Development Roadmap and Action Plan, 2081 includes various targets related to renewable energy and energy efficiency, including providing electricity to 100 percent of households within the next two years through off-grid solar, wind and small hydroelectric power in places where the national grid has not reached.
AEPC which is operated under the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation is the main body working in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency. Since its inception, the center has been expanding access to clean energy, providing reliable, quality energy services through the expansion of renewable energy technologies and the promotion of energy efficient technologies and measures. And through the promotion of measures, increasing access to clean energy, making energy services reliable, quality and sustainable, and by associating energy services with economic activities, it has been contributing to inclusive economic and social development. In addition to this, it has been working as a Direct Access Entity for the development of carbon projects based on renewable energy technology and the Green Climate Fund.
