An aircraft belonging to Buddha Air has made emergency landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu Monday morning. The airlines had diverted its flight with call sign 9N-AJS, to Kathmandu after encountering a problem and made safe landing at the TIA, Kathmandu at 11.15, according to a press release issued by Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN). The aircraft had encountered the technical problem at 43 nautical miles east of Kathmandu in the sky.
The aircraft carrying 72 passengers and 4 crew members took off from
Kathmandu at 10.30 am for Bhadrapur, situated in Eastern Nepal. The aircraft encountered a problem at its right wing, which compelled the pilot to divert the plane, according to the press release. A technical team from the airlines has already started conducting inspection on the aircraft, according to the airlines sources. The company has arranged another flight to transport the passengers to Bhadrapur.
