Nepal and China sign agreement to export buffalo meat to China

Nepal and China on Monday signed an agreement to export buffalo meat from Nepal to China. Nepal and China had signed a protocol on the export of buffalo meat to China during Prime Minister K.P. Oli’s recent visit to the northern neighbour.

The agreement was inked by Himalayan Food International Pvt. Ltd and Xian Food Pvt. Ltd. of Sanghai, China amidst a programme in Kathmandu on Monday in the presence of Minister for Agriculture of Nepal Ramnath Adhikari and Chinese ambassador to Nepal Chen Song.

Speaking on the occasion, Chinese ambassador said this will provide relief to thousands of farmers of rural areas of Nepal.

Minister Adhikari said that Nepal government is ready to export buffalo meat to China as per the demand by ensuring quality of the product.
