Maoist Centre ahead of CPN-UML in local by-elections

Maoist Centre withdraws support to the government

CPN-Maoist has secured better position in this local level by-elections as compared to the previous polls. However, CPN-UML’s position has ben deteriorated in the local polls. As the results of local level elections started pouring CPN-Maoist has won one Mayor or chairperson, two deputy Mayor or Vice-chair and six Ward chair persons. Similarly, Nepali Congress has won 16 Ward chairpersons. CPN-UML has won one Mayor or chairperson, one deputy Mayor or chairperson and five Ward chairpersons in the by-elections.
