Nepal has won 4 silver medals in the 15th World Body Building and Physics Sports Championship that concluded in Maldives recently.
Rujesh Shahi, Rajani Shrestha, Prajwalman Shakya and Sanam Mulguthi won silver medals for Nepal during the tournament on Friday. Rujesh won silver in the 60 kg weight category. It is his third medal at the World Championships. He previously won silver in 2015 and bronze in 2017. In this competition, Thai athelete grabbed the gold.
Rajani Shrestha, the historic gold winner at the Asian Championships, bagged silver in the women’s under-55 kg weight group. Vietnamese athlete won gold under this category. Rajani had earlier won gold in the 56th Asian Bodybuilding Championship. This is her first participation in the World Championship.
Prajwalman brought another silver to Nepal in the Saturday event. He bagged silver in the Masters category in the 40-49 age group. He ranked in the top five in the 65 kg category.
Similarly, Sanam Mulguthi secured first runner up and won a Silver in the World Body Building Championship 2024 in Onepiece swimsuit, upto 165 cm category.
