Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called the Non-Resident Nepalese Association (NRNA) to come forward and contribute to the development of the country. “Since necessary infrastructures for development in the country have been created, so every one should come together so that the country could be made prosperous,” said Oli inaugurating the NRN Global Conclave 2024 in Kathmandu on Sunday.
The government in no way wants to interfere with the functioning of the association, assured the Prime Minister and asked the NRN community to work independently and impartially for the development and prosperity of the country, adding the government is ready to extend all necessary cooperation.
The government is ready to extend all kinds of support to the NRN community including providing them identity and boosting their dignity, said the Prime Minister.
Speaking at a different programme PM Oli said, the government is focusing on Artificial Intelligence field for making Nepal a hub for AI education. The preparation for introducing policies and plans related to the AI are underway for the development of the AI sector, the Prime Minister pointed out.
In a conversation with experts at the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AI) organized by the Youth Federation in Kathmandu on Sunday, PM Oli underscored that AI needs to be used for development, prosperity, and making life easy.
“We need to make a positive use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Awareness and legal measures need to be taken into account to prevent side effects caused by misusing AI.”
He called the youths to come forward and make contribution from the AI sector for building a digital Nepal.
