The number of dengue-infected people across Nepal has crossed 27,000 this year (January – October 2024). According to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) dengue infections have been reported in 27,153 people across the country from Since January, 2024. During the period, eleven people died due to the infection. The highest number of dengue infections has been reported in Kaski with 7,800 cases according to the division. In the Kathmandu Valley, dengue infections have been reported among 4,060 people.
