One hundred twenty four people were killed in an attack by the Israeli army in northern Gaza on Saturday and Sunday. Eighty seven people were killed on Saturday and 37 were killed on Sunday. Hamas administration has claimed that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched an airstrike on Beit Lahiya on Sunday afternoon. 37 killed in an airstrike by the IDF on a refugee camp in Jabila in Gaza on Saturday. At least 85 people were injured in the attack. According to the IDF, 70 rockets were fired into Israeli skies from Lebanon on Sunday alone.
The IDF attacked Beit Lahiya after Hamas launched a drone attack targeting the residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Telecommunications and Internet services are disrupted in northern Gaza due to the recent attacks by the IDF. The densely populated area of Jabaliya has been under siege by Israeli forces for several weeks.
It is said that around 400,000 people are trapped inside the camp with enough food and water for just two weeks. At least 42,500 people have been killed in the Israeli attack on Gaza for the past year. More than thousands people were injured.
On October 7, 2023, twelve hundred people were killed in an attack by Hamas in southern Israel. In addition, Hamas took 251 hostages. Since then, Israel has continuously attacked Gaza. In addition, Israel has continued to attack the Lebanon-based armed group Hezbollah for the past few months.
