Nepal Government has appointed SushilGyawali as the Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Board. A minister informed that the cabinet meeting held on Thursday appointed him as the CEO.
Sushil Gyawali, Bhishmaraj Dhungana, Raghuraj Kafle, Bishnu Prasad Bhattarai and Ramdev Yadav were shortlisted among those who applied for the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Investment Board. Among them, 3 names were recommended to select among the three.
The Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Office called applications for the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Investment Board on 27 July. Previously Sushil Bhatt was in the post, and as his term ended, the government called for the application.
A committee for recommendation formed by the government the Council of Ministers on July 22 had recommended three shortlisted candidates. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel was the coordinator of the committee whilevice chairman of the National Planning Commission Prof. Dr. Shivraj Adhikari was an official member and former finance secretary Rajan Khanal was an expert member in the committee.
Sushil Gyawali was born in Riddhikot rural municipality of Palpa district in 1970. He had successfully performed 2 terms as CEO of National Reconstruction Authority in the past. The Authority was responsible for reconstruction of physical properties damaged by the devastating earthquake 2015 earthquake in Nepal.
