Nepal's First Berlin Competition Entry 'Shambhala' Lands Sales Agent

The movie lover and film maker are much pleased to know that Shambhala, the Nepali movie has been selected for 97th Oscar Awards. This was only one registered in Nepal to represent in the global glamor event this year.

Shambhala, the much talked Nepali movie directed by Min Bahadur Bham first screened on Sunday in Karhmandu.

Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and film director Anurag Kashyap were present on the premiere of Shambhala. Shambhala made history as the first Nepali film selected for the Berlin Film Festival. The film’s lead actress, Thinley Lhamo, won the prestigious Boccalino d’Oro Prize at the Locarno Film Festival. The movie started showing from September 13, 2024, across Nepal.
