Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba will lead the election government to be formed after two years, announced Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli while tabling his proposal seeking Vote in favour of the coalition government in the Parliament.
Oli disclosed the secret seven point deal reached between Nepali Congress president Deuba and himself two weeks ago while aiming to form a new coalition government by toppling Pushpakamal Dahal “Prachanda” led coalition.
“As per the seven point agreement I will lead the government for the next two years and Nepali Congress president Deua will lead the election government” for the remaining (one and a half year) period, Oli said while addressing the House of Representatives.
To form a national consensus government for maintaining political stability in the country, checking corruption and maintaining good governance, amendment of the constitution for bringing political stability, increasing economic activity, bring more foreign investment, promote industries and create more jobs are among the features of the seven point agreement reached between the two large parties in the House of Representatives.
Until now the seven point agreement reached between Deuba and Oli remained secret giving rise to many suspicion even in the minds of several ruling party leaders. Earlier, Nepali Congress general secretary Gagan Thapa has also demanded Oli to make public the 7 point deal in the Parliament.
