Nepal has clinched victory over Ireland Wolves by six wickets in their first match under Ireland tour of Nepal played at TU cricket ground, Kirtipur on Monday. The Rhinos achieved the 122-run target set by the second-tier team of Ireland with 23 balls remaining at the loss of four wickets.

Nepal faced an early setback in the run chase as opener Aasif Sheikh departed for 16 runs in 3.2 overs. Skipper Rohit Paudel was out for a duck just two balls later. The Rhinos were 37-3 as Gulsan Jha returned to the pavilion scoring four runs.

For Ireland Wolves, Gareth Delany grabbed two wickets as Ben White and Thomas Mayes pocketed a wicket each.

Earlier, opting to bat first after winning the toss, Ireland Wolves faced early setbacks as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Despite contributions from Stephen Doheny (46) and Thomas Mayes and Liam McCarthy hitting equal 16 runs, they struggled to build substantial partnerships.

Their innings concluded at 121 runs in 20 overs, with Lalit Rajbanshi, Kushal Bhurtel and Gulsan Jha each claiming two wickets.
