Senior Madhesi leader Rajendra Mahato has quit Loktantrik Samajbadi Party Rajendra and called on like minded political forces to join National Liberation Movement (Rastriya Mukti Kranti) for achieving a total revolution. “This movement will bring necessary changes in the constitution and governance aimed at building Nepal for all the Nepalese” announced Mahato during a press meet in Kathmandu on Monday.
Addressing the press conference he dissociated himself from LSP and said that the national revolution is not possible by a single party, such as Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, Janata Samajbadi Party, therefore, “individuals and political forces that are for the identity of multiple nationalities/nations should come together.”
“There is a need for a nationwide campaign for liberty. and political power is generated through campaign, conflict and rebellion.”
“The identity movement that started four decades ago fell victim to the government’s conspiracy and remained incomplete. That’s why the oppressed people could not attain political achievements and the country couldn’t progress,” he said.
“Now it’s high time that all the oppressed and all those who prefer good governance and prosperity in the country should unite and build a ‘multi-nation state’.” Mahato is also conducting an orientation programme under the banner of ‘National Liberation Revolution’ aimed at establishing a ‘multi-nation state’. The programme will run for three days.
